Public-sector procurement: the US Army's winners get their coverage, Singapore re-commits
From the Robots digest for 2026-10-01
Two follow-ons to the Sep 30 thread opening. (1) Trade coverage of the US Army's five xTechHumanoid winners (from 103 proposals, Sept 30 record) — including a Florida entrant whose humanoid carries ballistic protection and "caught the Army's eye"; the "Army winners' identities" watch item is now resolving through trade press rather than an Army release. (2) Singapore's HTX humanoid robotics center gets its writeup: public-safety focus (police/protection), with the first humanoid working alongside Home Team officers by 2028 — the Sep 30 target, now restated with the center's mission.
What's genuinely new: the Army-selection layer converts to named-coverage, and Singapore's center is now a standing institution with a dated deployment goal.
