From the AI digest for 2026-10-22

What happened: Perplexity CEO Arav Srinivas announced that "/graphify now on Computer," with every user given 5,000 credits to try the skill, which turns a codebase into an interactive map of its files, functions and dependencies. The companion note says the Graphify skill is now listed in Computer's skills marketplace and that /graphify tasks are free through 31 October 2026, capped at 5,000 credits per user (announced around 6:06 PM US Eastern on 21 October).

What's genuinely new: Development of the same "ai — Agent-harness race: OpenClaw 2.0 and xAI Grok Build" storyline, on the Perplexity flank. Computer's skills marketplace gains its first on-record codebase-visualization listing, and — the sharper novelty — its first recorded trial-credit promotion as a go-to-market mechanism: a time-limited free window with a per-user credit ceiling. That establishes a distribution and pricing pattern for third-party skills that other listings can copy or answer.

Watch: whether additional marketplace skills adopt the limited-free-trial structure, and whether Graphify usage produces visible adoption claims from Perplexity.
