Nuclear-AI campuses: Fermi America reaches full NEPA depth
From the Energy digest for 2026-10-10
What happened: ANS (Oct 9): a draft environmental impact statement is complete for Fermi America's Project Matador — four AP1000s at its Advanced Energy and Intelligence Campus in Texas — a project ANS notes "has seen upheavals"; same item, Blue Energy "making strides in Texas" (snippet-thin).
What's genuinely new: the nuclear-AI-campus genre's first full-NEPA-depth instrument — the reactor-fleet-as-campus-power concept (which our Record holds in the Beehive/Stratos items) now has a paper trail at standard agency depth in Texas. The "upheavals" tease (financing/leadership) is unexplained in capture.
Watch: DEIS comment window/final EIS, tenants, the upheaval details, Blue Energy's instrument, the Fermi/NRC-liaison timeline vs the Beehive BLM-process path.
