2026-10-15 (first record): SemiEngineering's "Agentic AI Alters The CPU-GPU Balance" (Oct 15, ~4:00 AM ET) makes the thesis; no vendor-specific data and no reference in the article to the Anthropic–Akamai CPU-inference deal ($11.6B, Sep 24), though the memory-bandwidth frame is shared. Watch: vendor benchmarks on agentic CPU load, and whether real-world CPU-inference deployments corroborate the thesis.
