Flight 16 hardware keeps moving at Starbase overnight
From the Space digest for Oct 28, 2026
What happened: NSF livestream relays on October 27–28 tracked both Flight 16 assets in motion: Ship 43 passed by its ride to space at Starbase (~11:58 PM ET October 27), while an earlier relay (~10:38 PM ET October 27) noted that during two overnight delays at Massey's, observers expected Ship 43 to head back to production — but the second trip may have involved more than a stand, with Booster 23 spotted in the doorway (NASASpaceflight on X, NASASpaceflight on X).
What's genuinely new: Continued movement on the Flight 16 flow a day after Ship 43 completed Pad 2 catch-testing (October 27) and both halves of the Flight 15 stack — Booster 22's 33-engine Pad 2 fire (October 25) and Ship 42's full six-engine Massey's fire (October 27) — passed their static fires. The Massey's doorway sighting suggests Booster 23 is moving through its own test campaign rather than idling.
Watch: Flight 15's November 8 target with its planned first-ever catch of both stages, any further Ship 42 pre-flight steps, and Booster 23's Massey's work against the Flight 16 vehicles expected to head for Kennedy Space Center's pad 39A.
