What happened: Centrus Energy's manufacturing plant in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, has despatched the first new centrifuge as part of the company's multibillion-dollar expansion of its uranium enrichment capacity in Piketon, Ohio.

What's genuinely new: The expansion moves from funding and contracts to physical hardware โ€” the first machine out the door for a US enrichment build that now includes Centrus's Piketon plant alongside the Paducah laser-enrichment proposals from GLE and General Matter.

Watch: Shipment cadence from Oak Ridge, the Piketon construction schedule, and when HALEU deliveries tied to Centrus's prepaid contracts begin.
